Özden Pektaž Turgut was born in Giresun, Turkey in 1978. Graduated from Eskižehir Anadolu University Faculty of Fine Arts Graphic Design Dept. in 2002. She worked as a graphic designer between 2001-2003 in various firms and began her academic career with Research Assistant position in Hacettepe University, Faculty of Fine Arts Graphic Design Dept. between 2003-2005. She got Master of Arts degree in Hacettepe University, Institute of Social Sciences Graphic Design Program with “Examination of Banner Ads by Graphic Design” titled thesis in 2004, got Proficiency in Art (Doctorate Equivalent Art&Design Program) degree in same institute with “Comparison of Printed & Electronic Graphic Design Magazines in View of Viusal Identity and an Electronic Design Magazine Proposal” titled thesis in 2009.
She worked as a Lecturer in Gazi University Faculty of Fine Arts, Visual Communication Design Dept. between 2005 – 2009 and got Assistant Professor title in the same university in 2010. In 2007 Fall semester, she gave lessons in Hoogeschool Gent, Royal Academy of Arts in Belgium by Erasmus lecturer exchanging program.
In domestic/abroad, participated mixed and solo exhibitions, present papers in national/international symposiums, conferences, articles published in the journals, organized workshops & projects and have two honorable mentions in international exlibris competitions. She is still working her academic career as an Assistant Professor in Gazi University Faculty of Fine Arts, Visual Communication Design Department. She is a charter and active member of Istanbul Exlibris Society and working in the field of interactive design, publishing design, typography, calligraphy and exlibris.
